Biography: Skip Wollenberg is a geologist whose travels, both professionally and for pleasure, include Eurasia, Greenland, and North and South America. The geology and geography of his settings are backdrops for the characters and situations of his travel stories. Skip lives near northern California’s Mendocino Coast, where the place and its people combine to encourage writing about them, as well as about people, places and circumstances farther away in distance and time.
